One face,
built twice.

This is the brand system I built in Week 0 of the Frontier Fellowship, from a single source: the 1927 poster for Fritz Lang's Metropolis.

What I learned

A brief gets stronger the narrower it is.

I set Claude one source image and asked for a disciplined system, not a mood board. Two colours. Three working typefaces plus one rationed flourish. One structural motif, one ornamental. Every rule had to trace back to something the poster itself does.

The constraint was the lesson. A palette with no limit becomes decoration. A palette with a reason behind every colour becomes a system someone else could pick up and build with, which is the actual brief for an AI Deployment Consultant: not output, a method that transfers.

The second pass went further than the graphic design. The poster's one human figure is Maria, replicated by Rotwang's machine to turn her own movement against itself. That's not scenery. That's the brief for anyone building AI systems that touch women's labour, voice or likeness, which is the work I'm actually here to do.

FlourishOne quotation, rationed.

“The real Maria organised. The false one was built to discredit her. Every system I build has to know which one it's being.”
